Traditional Native American views: Individual relativism is antithetical to traditional values. In the book, the Genius of Sitting Bull, the two leaders, Sitting Bull and Custer, were contrasted as follows:
Custer: He remained aloof from his people. He treated them with the same contempt he treated his enemies. Custer rode the best horses, ate the best food, and slept apart from his men. He did not know them.
Marianne Jennings , author of a book on moral disasters in corporate America, has this to say on 'business ethics'
“Over the past few years as I have struggled to help students formulate their own ethical standards. I have come to realize that there is no such thing as “business ethics.” There are personal ethics that are applied in every setting, from marriage to the executive suite. If such is the case, then the moral fiber of an individual matters if the company is to have an ethical culture."
