This has actually been in our Virtual Library for some time. It was the first Internet course taught at a tribal college. Of course, technology has changed since then so I spent the last two days updating the site with a navigation bar so you can get around the course easily and see almost everything at a glance. I fixed all the broken links, I think.

My personal favorite section in this course - Adolescence, Identity Development: http://www.spiritlakeconsulting.com/SLC … lself.htm. With references to theories by Erikson and Freud, this page helps to identify key challenges in the typical adolescent struggles and why it is so hard to be a teenager. Enjoy!

I think the site is an excellent resource for a college student, parent or for someone who wants to learn more about adolescence or information on pschologocial theorist. It was also nice to see how different the informtion and sites are to it's present form.

I took some time this morning and checked out this course. Frankly, I did it out of curiosity more than anything but soon became interested in the content. I became so interested in it that I am going to spend a couple of hours today going through it. Specifically, I am going to spend most of my time going over the Theories of Development, Middle Age, Aging, and Death and Dying sections. I will also recommended it to my son Marshall to go over it when has some spare time. Marshall works for Spirit Lake Vocational Rehabilitation project. I am also going to direct Breanne, my Administrative Assistant, to take a couple of hours to go through it.
