Well, no system is perfect, but requiring registration has reduced the spam 95%
At first I was very unhappy with that solution because the number of legitimate posts dropped for a while. Adding the anonymous feature took a while to catch on but now I think people are comfortable with logging in as anonymous , putting tribaljoe for the password and giving us their honest feedback.
We still get some disgusting porn on here from time to time, but it is rare and I delete those as soon as possible and ban permanently the email that posted it.
It hasn't been a 100% solution but it worked for us.
