Question on blogging - seeking opinions

Every time I am considering a change to our site, I try to get opinion from our staff and our users.

Currently, I do two blogs. One is on our corporate website.

and the other is a personal one.

The difference (theoretically) is that one is more self-censored because it is part of our corporate site while the other is just random ramblings on life. I do tend to stay away from more controversial topics with my company blog, where my personal one has generated a lot of emotional response, everything from it was the funniest thing I ever read to you are an arrogant %^&! and nothing you say is remotely amusing.

My question is -- do you think I should combine the two and only have one blog?
The advantage is that it would be updated much more frequently, because I don't have time to post to two blogs all the time.

The disadvantage is that it would include more personal and controversial topics on my company site and that might not be good for our company. On the other hand, it might bring more traffic. On the other hand (if I had three hands) if it brought more traffic from people who then decided that we were a bunch of arrogant SOBs that really is not a step forward, now is it?

Any opinions, suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Re: Question on blogging - seeking opinions

I would recommend keeping both of them separate.  I enjoy the casual, intimate tone of your personal blog, which touches upon some subjects tht don't really have to do with SLC.  I also like the company blog, which puts a personal touch onto our business and allows for further understanding of why you do what you do in SLC.  While it may take more time, it may be worth it, especially if you link the two of them together.  At any rate, it encouraged me to start my own blog!
