If you have not heard from us in a while it is because we have all been busy working away behind the scenes. February 18, Erich and I leave for Washington for the CANAR conference. In preparation for that trip we are trying to get a draft of our vocational rehabilitation module done, even if it is only a somewhat sketchy outline. I have been working on a complete revision of the website for Disability Access, our virtual library, commons area and all of our web pages. Prepare to be amazed come mid-February. We are automating everything using CSS and templates, and going back to web pages we did as long ago as 2003 (ancient in web time) and ripping out old code and replacing it with the new.
Jessica is also doing new "best of Tiyospaye" and "best of Waonspekiye" newsletters that will be distributed at CANAR. So, this is just the calm before the storm - stay tuned

Our entire site will be down a couple of times over the next few days. We will be taking down EVERYTHING and uploading a brand new site. Some areas, like the Virtual Library, will look very different. Other pages won't look much different but they will work differently. If you have tried to bookmark a page and found, to your irritation, that it just gave you the home page, that is because we were using an older method called frames. We are getting rid of that. I haven't gotten rid of all of them - we have about 2,700 pages and documents on our site - but I am making some progress.
We also will have a short version of the vocational rehabilitation workshop done - two or three pages for every topic.

We made the front page of the Turtle Mountain Times with a two-page article on our Disability Access project and a cover photo of me and Willie Davis. We are also going to be featured as a small business profile in Idea Cafe, starting April 18. Idea Cafe is a site dedicated to small business. It's full of interesting information, and, of course, the fact that they chose us as one of their businesses to profile reveals exceptionally good taste
