Proposed MAJOR website change

I am considering a MAJOR change to our Spirit Lake Consulting website. Right now, if you go to our web page

http://www.spiritlakeconsulting.com/

You see a menu at the side that says,"Caring for our People", "Disability Access" and so on.

I am thinking of changing it in a way that I hope will make it easier for people to find what they need, e.g.

DISABILITY STAFF     FAMILIES      TRIBAL LEADERS  SMALL BUSINESS  PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

however, one concern is that there is a lot of overlap. So we have a section on sexuality after an acquired disability (I actually am planning to add more in that area). If you are a person with a disability, that would be of interest to you. (Come on, I was married to someone who had a spinal cord injury - the first thing a man wonders if he can move when he wakes up from the operation is NOT his toes!)

However, if you are the spouse, it would also be of interest to you.

So, my questions:

1. What categories do you think would be good?
2. What is your opinion on having it be redundant, with the same information showing up in more than one category?

Re: Proposed MAJOR website change

I think this would be a good idea - this way people know exactly where to go for information that pertains to them.  In general, when it comes to matters of the internet, people like things to be simple, direct, and easy.

Also, if things overlap, I think it doesn't matter.  It just goes to show that SLC targets a lot of different areas that all have a common ground (if that makes sense!).  As long as people get their information in an easy way, that's probably all that counts.

Okay. I will add this to my infinite to-do list. No, seriously, I think this is what I will be doing while the Thanksgiving turkey is cooking.

Another question ...

What do you all think of this slide show type thing? I was thinking of changing our website to have something like it. Too gimmicky? Or do you like it? I like it.
