Best in Show - these sites were selected because they are exceptional both in range and quality. All address a wide spectrum of topics and ages. All also met the "E" criteria. That is, either our professional or student testers made some type of exclamation when they saw them, such as, "Hey, I could really use that!" or "Wow! Show that again. Let's see what else is there."

Conversation questions - thousands of them, including a "teacher's guide" which is a page of suggestions on how to use these questions in a classroom.

Vocabulary quizzes in Spanish and English - this is pretty much like one of those old programmed learning machines, but free. (If you remember programmed learning machines you (a) are really old, and (b) likely attended parochial schools. There is an option for the quizzes to be Spanish to English or English to Spanish. If you teach students with a language other than Spanish, go to the activities for students page of the Internet TESL journal and you will find languages from Arabic to Zulu.

Assignment to get to know your students-- In a million words or less....I LOVED this.The discussion on the listserv describes the assignment, how to use for students from limited English proficient homes, parent reactions and teacher compliments and frustrations.
