linksLINKS ON SUBSTANCE ABUSE IN NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES

Is there anyone who lives on a reservation who has had no experience with substance abuse, either as an individual, a parent, co-worker or teacher for someone with an alcohol or drug problem? We think the answer to that is probably, "No!" However, even if you have plenty of knowledge and experience, there is always more information out there.

American Indian Health Coalition Substance Abuse web page provided some information we didn't know, including that three out of four women in treatment programs are only there to get custody of their children back, and once they regain their children, only one-fourth of these women finish the program.
