Need more resources on Individualized Family Service Plans?

There is a lot to know about the IFSP and the Spirit Lake Consulting website is a good place to start. A few of the resources we offer are:

IFSP: A brief introduction - is a PowerPoint presentation that gives a short summary of the main points just discussed in the previous pages.

More web pages on the IFSP - are offered on our Caring for Our People Training section on early childhood. Although aimed more at staff, it provides a lot of general information on the Individualized Family Service Plan. Besides, you might be interested to read what staff members are being taught about hoow to deal with families!

A comparison between the IFSP and IEP - is an article designed more for staff members than families, but we know that family members of people with disabilities are far more likely to have jobs in the field than the general public, so some of you may find it useful.

Alaska - this form is very similar to what is used in most North Dakota programs
Nevada - this one is in Spanish and English, which you might think would not be necessary in the Great Plains. However , the growth rate of the population of Spanish speakers outside the traditional southwest and northeast regions.
